Re James' non-appearance on the 21st. Changes to the Billys are made as late as the half hour call. Recently, for example, one of the Billys was running a high temperature and was replaced near the curtain. There are always at least two "Billy teams" in the theatre for every show. Theoretically, a Billy could be replaced during a performance but I understand this has never been necessary so far.
