I was just reading Playbill and Billy Joel is writing a new musical. I don't know about it though. I love Joel and everything. he did say that he was going to do to the music business what Mel did to the theater business: a send up of all the cliches etc with original music written for the show. Interesting concept but I don't know how much he has developed it or who will be working on it with him. The comment was made during the Tony interviews and it seemed to be a rather 'unofficial' announcement...not something that is ready for production. So, I guess we'll have to wait and see
