"Billy Joel invited 12 children with cancer from the Long Island Cancer Alliance to spend an afternoon cruising around Long Island Sound aboard Billy's boat, the Redhead ..."
Producers, composers, lyricists, directors, performers, musicians, 1 way you can do a mitzvah is by volunteering your shows to perform for AIDS patients thru Hearts & Voices.
Some performers who have already participated are Audra MacDonald, and the original Broadway cast of HAIRSPRAY. I am reminded by another poster that in addition to them, Karen Mason, Brent Barrett, KT Sullivan, David Campbell, and Ethan Hawke performed for H&V. And when Eric Michael Gillett was a Ringmaster for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, he brought the circus clowns to perform.

I didn't know Billy Joel was so involved in charities like that. More of a reason for me to love him. He is one of my favorite artists of all time.

heres hoping he doesnt have to drive them anywhere
If he does, then I'll see what I can do to round up some volunteers to take care of that, too.

I was up at Long Beach Island, NJ and my mom told me Billy Joel has a house there. Then we started thinking how cool it would be if Billy Joel crashed into our beach house.
LOL. It's probably safer & more fun for everyone to just offer to open up your beach house to him & the kids he's taking out on his yacht. Where is that beach house? We'll all be over next weekend....
