I'm also a South Park and Book of Mormon fan and I just didn't think the episode was that funny.

It was good considering how bad the past two seasons have been, IMO. I may be biased though just because there were Broadway references.
I also liked Shelley's storyline better, especially the vegan family. The father's rants were great.

I LOVED the Spider-man line and the Book of Mormon bit at the end, but i agree that some of it wasn't AS funny as *for me* The Book of Mormon.
PS i loved seeing the cast of WICKED as south park characters ^_^
I love South Park. But I thought this episode was stupid. Completely unfunny.
Just watched this episode and thought it was hysterically funny. Parker/Stone have very twisted minds to think this stuff up!
It was very funny, but not pee-in-your-pants funny.
I'm going to show the episode to my boyfriend in hopes he'll get me tickets to a show....
Very disappointed considering how good it had the potential to be. That said, loved the widely unappreciated joke that Sondheim is portrayed as a "bro." (I feel like 50 times as many people got the irony of Elton John.)
"Merrily We Roll Along, Bro!" is now in my permanent vocabulary. The original title of the show no longer exists.

I laughed a lot. Loved the Sondheim throw-down "bro-down."
Typical South Park goofiness, as I expected.
Also a big fan of SP and the 1st time I watched it was OK but then I watched it a 2nd time on line and got it. I wonder how many of the Broadway refrences were picked up by the frat crew that normaly makes up their viewing audience?
I am glad Randy Marsh got the lead as he is the best character on the show: http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s14e14-creme-fraiche
