Has anyone sat in the orchestra boxes in the Boston Opera House? If so, did you find yourself missing a lot of the show or just a few things?

Idina: Somehow I got myself to the stage, came out at the end of the show, and I had some kind of closure.

It depends how far back you are. I sat in the box in the very best, all the way to the stage right side, and didn't miss too much. And, sitting in the back, I don't remember the overhang being an issue (I could see the top of the barricade in Les Mis).

What show are you seeing and where exactly are the seats?

You're seeing Wicked, right?

Yeah, I am...I've sat obstructed view at the Gershwin and the seats were the best I've had, I'm hoping that they will similar at the Opera House...we're in row E I believe, on the far right side.

Thanks for your imput :)

I've been in the Opera House quite a few times, didn't really pay attention to the box seats, though. However, I went to the Colonial Theater, which is also in Boston, and noticed that the box seats were really obstructed. Plus the Colonial is smaller than the Opera House, so I'm wondering if the obstructed view would be better or worse.

I have been in far right orchestra seats at Opera House. As far as orchestra boxes go, my mind tends to say NO. They are way far over and will be obstructed by the speaker towers. You will be able to see less than you think. It's good that you have already seen Wicked, but I personally would not recommend the seats.

Dean: Can I tell you something? Lorraine: That depends on what it is. Dean: I think you're really really pretty. Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.
