I will be visitng Boston for 6 days during the third week of July. I was hoping to make a quick trip down to NY to catch a show or two but, unfortunately, that's not gonna happen...
I went to Ticketmaster and the Broadway Across America (or whatever its called...) websites and niether site had any event occuring during this time.
Anyone know if some form of Broadway/Musical Theater will be in production while I'm there? If not, what other entertainment should I attend?
Thx!
The only Pre-Broadway is 39 St on Huntington and it wont run till Fall 07.
John Buchan's “The 39 Steps” Adapted by Patrick Barlow Directed by Maria Aitken Sept. 14 - Oct. 14, 2007 Boston University Theatre, the Huntington’s main stage Pre-Broadway American premiere

I live in Boston and I go down to NYC all the time to see a show . Sometimes 1 day trip Boston to NYC 4 hrs/ 1 way (take a bus $ 30.00 roundtrip -leave Boston at 9 am to catch a matinee at 2 or 3 Saturday/ Wednesday , if your lucky you can see still see another evening show at long as its not more than 3 hours . You still can catch last trip at 11 pm going back to Boston. It may sound crazy but I am sure youll do same if you were ..let's say in Las VEgas and you want to go to Grand Canyon, the trip is 4 hours one-way..Bec. There's not much theater here in Boston (Huntington, Speak Easy. Lyric Stage and ART in Cambridge) and there's still no substitute for any Broadway production ..just me opinion-J*
BTW -Peter Pan bus is only $30.00 roundtrip, if you book it online .. last trip to Boston from NYC is 11 pm- you might make it bec. the station is in Times Square.

You could always see Blue Man Group or Shear Madness. Yeah, Boston's theatres scene pretty much sucks.
