Can anyone tell me what time the box office at the Gershwin opens for cancellations for Saturday Matinees? Anyone?

Thanks!

Hey. I think it depends on the show. I knwo Lion King and some others open 2 hours before the show is scheduled to start. I would call the box office and double check. Updated On: 6/23/04 at 11:05 AM

When I was there, the guy at the box office told me people get there sometimes before they open and wait until show time. He also told me that cancelations for WICKED are very rare and almost never happen.
Now, whether or not he was telling me this because he didn't want me hanging out there all day, I can't say. But it's what I was told. Hope that helps.

Yea, I would say it would be very rare for cancellations for Wicked. I would definitely get 2 hours before. I am sure if people get to Lion King early, they also get to Wicked early. Good luck. :)

I got cancellation tickets for a Sat night a couple weeks ago. The line was started around 4pm, there were a few people ahead of me...so I know at least 10 tickets were sold, right at 8pm.

I think you have a better chance with the ticket lottery as opposed to cancelation. Also ( and I hate to encourage this) I notice that some online scalpers have great seats for only about $20.00 more.

I would get there about 2 -2 1/2 hours early. I was in the cancellation line for last saturday's matinee and they let us in around 10:30-11 o'clock. They told us 11, and I waited in line cuz I didn't get picked in the lottery) for about 3 hours but I finally got tix thanks to someone who didn't want to see the show cause Idina wasn't in it. But mind I had to wait a LONG time and there were actually a lot of tickets sold back that day. good luck though!!!!!!!

I got 5 cancellation seats for a Sunday performance of Wicked that ended up being row G in the orchestra. The box office opened at 12 and we got there pretty much exactly at 12 and just waited and got them about 5 minutes before curtain, we were about 5th on line but we got them.

And hang on, when did you win the discus?
