Does anyone know if Brad Oscar and/or Cady Huffman plan to reprise their roles in "The Producers" during the Nathan/Matthew return?
I love Brad's rendition of "Old Bavaria". Need to see that again!

From what I have heard, Brad is ONLY going to be Nathan's understudy, and that Brad's friend John Tracey Egan is going to to be Franz.
JTE was a far-better-than-anyone-could-have-expected Roger DeBris, and I suspect he'll be a terrific Franz!

Posted: 10/31/03 at 10:11pmWhen I saw Cady last month, she told me she hadn't been asked back. I think she might have wanted to return, but I can't be sure. So, at this point, I guess it'll be Angie as Ulla. Too bad. Cady's return would have all of the originals back.

Brad Oscar is doing a superb job as MAX here in Chicago!
I was bowled over by his singing especially....I saw him here in 2001 as FRANZ and wasd delighted by his performance then. He's a great Max and should stay with the tour...not understudy Mr. Lane!

Glad you liked Brad, MB! ![]()
I think he's got the best and strongest voice of ANY Max. As I've posted elsewhere before, he sings that score as if it were CAROUSEL.
I do think Roger Bart is supposed to return as Carmen Ghia.

Posted: 11/1/03 at 9:09pmI thought Brad was amazing, but I couldn't help thinking that he was trying to be Nathan Lane playing Max Bialystock instead of just being Brad playing Max. Of course, this opinion is based only on what I know of Nathan's performance from press clips and appearances, and his acting style from other projects. It obviously wasn't a bad thing, I just saw a lot of Nathan in his performance. And he does have an incredibly strong voice and great comedic timing.
