BROADWAY BY THE YEAR GETS NEW DIRECTOR: BRAD OSCAR!
Star Makes NY Directorial Debut at Helm of Broadway Musicals
of 1968 Monday, May 1 at 8 PM at The Town Hall

Oscar to Direct All-Star Cast that includes Himself, Scott
Coulter, Annie Golden, Lisa Howard, Lorinda Lisitza, Jack
Noseworthy, Jonny Peterson, Chip Zien, and MORE!

The third concert this season in Town Hall’s critically
acclaimed Broadway by the Year series, The Broadway Musicals
of 1968, will take place on Monday, May 1st with the Tony
Nominated star of The Producers, Brad Oscar, as its
director. He will star in the show alongside a handpicked
all-star cast of Broadway and cabaret performers. In
addition to BBTY veterans, Scott Coulter, Annie Golden, Chip
Zien and Brad Oscar, new stars will join the BBTY ranks
including Spelling Bee’s Lisa Howard, Mother Courage’s
Lorinda Lisitza, Sweet Smell’s Jack Noseworthy, and George
M. Cohan Tonight! star, Jonny Peterson.

Scott Siegel, who created Broadway by the Year for Town Hall
and produces, writes, and hosts its four concerts per
season, said, “I’m delighted to have Brad Oscar make his New
York directorial debut with The Broadway Musicals of 1968.
With Bryan Batt directing our last show of the season on
June 19, The Broadway Musicals of 1978, we will have
concluded a season in which all four concerts will have been
directed by some of Broadway’s greatest acting talent [Marc
Kudisch and Emily Skinner directed the first two shows of
the season, respectively].”

Some of the shows from which music will be drawn for the May
1st concert includes Hair, The Happy Time, Darling of the
Day, Golden Rainbow, George M!, New Faces of 1968, Her First
Roman, Zorba, and Promises Promises.

Tickets are available at The Town Hall box office from noon
to 6 pm every day but Sunday or they can be purchased at
TicketMaster: 212-307-4100. As the people’s hall, The Town
Hall continues its tradition of offering all of its tickets
at popular prices: $45 & $40. Limited tickets are still
available.
