Today was Brad Oscar's last show of THE PRODUCERS on Broadway before a well-deserved break before taking over for Nathan in January. Hunter Foster gave a heartfelt speech at how much the company will miss him (noting that nobody has played Max Bialystock more times) and how Broadway will be the poorer by his absence. Brad was deeply touched, wiped away a few tears and said he was "the happiest resident of puppetland"
I hear Mel was in town. It would have been nice if he had publicly thanked Brad, too.
Bravo, indeed. I loved his performance.

I was just thinking about him today. Scary. I had no idea it was his last day. He's an incredible man - going from Broadway to London in so short time. Is there any set time for him in the West End?
Brad will have a little time off here in NYC and then heads to London a couple of days after Christmas to start rehearsals. He takes over from Lane on 1/10.
BTW, I want to offer an 'atta boy' to Brad for his long standing success in the role of Max (next to Lane, the most successful and certainly the longest running with the road shows and NYC in the tally).
He's a great guy and deserves the success. I know he'll knock 'em dead in London!!!!!!
Yes, bravo for him. He is a good friend of my dad and ive known him since i was really little, and no one deserves success more than he does...what a great guy.
