It's probably best that he not do Altar Boyz anyway as it seemed from the almost unanimous tone of the reviews, that show *belongs* to Maynard and Karl. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone got their moment to shine in the coming season, on and off B'way...all except, Emmick. I'm not altogether convinced Jacksons' popularity is going to make All Shook Up, worthwhile though. He is not, after all, responsible for the material.

Wow andyf, you wasted no time with the new icon.
I'm excited to see Cheyenne, as I was thoroughly unimpressed with Manley Pope's Chad. And I was definitely thinking that Jarrod Emick, as amazingly talented as he is, just didn't look the part.
And Curtis Holbrook is the new Dean! Sounds like a good cast.

When anyone says "talent" I can only think of Moulin Rouge. Hehe.
Al Dente: Too bad for Emmick, good for Jackson. I've heard All Shook Up is fun and enjoyable at least. I'm really hoping it's a good vehicle for him because I am so freakishly, insanely excited about this right now. This show has to do well. It just has to. Unfortunately, it looks pretty definite that Cheyenne will not be doing Altar Boyz because of his commitment to All Shook Up now.
In regards to Altar Boyz - Each cast member did their best with what they were given and performed admirably, but Tyler Maynard definitely stole the show. An absolute delight. However, with some tweaking, they can bring the characters back into balance with each other so that one doesn't overshadow another. At least, if that's what they're aiming for. I love this show. Altar Boyz was such a great experience that I would definitely revisit it. Even without Chey =(

It certainly is fun and enjoyable. Not deep, in any way, and I can see how some would pass it off as fluff, but I had a really great time when I saw it.
I'm excited about Curtis Holbrook being the new Dean, although I'll miss Ashton Holmes. Then again, I'm usually excited when Taboo!alums pop up.
I think All Shook Up is going to be the next Mamma Mia, and probably on the same merits. But that's not going to mean it isn't a worthwhile trip to the theater. It really is a good time.

Congrats to Cheyenne! I cant wait to see him during the pre-broadway try out
. I'm kinda bummed that I won't be able to see Jarrrod. I loved him in BFO and i was looking forward to see him in all shook up. Oh well...cheyenne will make me forget about him.

I'm so happy right now. This is a great day. But with all the Anthony Rapp-ness going on (yay), let's not let Cheyenne get lost in the mix! This is HUGE for him.
andyf, I have checked out his site before. Holy mother. But you get the full effect when you SEE him singing. Everyone should meet him too. Sweetest guy ever. People need to share in the love of this man. I started flipping out just a little bit before . . . or a lot. Someone has to curb my enthusiasm. It's going off the charts.

I've seen Cheyenne in 'Altar Boyz,' 'Aida,' etc., and he'll be brilliant in 'All Shook Up.' He's got good looks and a great voice, and is sweet and sensitive to boot. When I interviewed him for Playbill.com, he said, 'I know my day will come.' And I added, 'Well, that day is nearly here.' Who knew it would come so soon? Congrats!
