ok, I'm watching the hairspray musical movie, and in Nicest Kids In Town, I have a question. Why, during the roll call part, do they do a voice over for them saying their names?

Because Cassie Silva from Legally blonde: Search for the Next Elle Woods, her voice is a LOT higher than the very deep brenda they voice over in that song... plus, when she speaks at one part, its def her natural voice. just wondering if anyone knows why they voiced over something so simple!
