If accurate it would be interesting casting.
The former main phantom from Hamburg is U/S for Phantom in love never dies so anything is possible.
but it would be a bit surprising to me for them to go that route with all the German male musical stars that can take on that role.
Side note, I personally would love if he took over from James when his contract ends

I'm so excited for Elizabeth Welch! She's spent so long in the ensemble and understudying Christine both on tour and then on Broadway, and now at last she's getting her big break! I was lucky enough to see her go on last summer when Sierra Boggess was out, and let me tell you, Oberhausen is in very good hands. :)
