Ok, so I own Titanic, the wild party (lippa), and Sweet smell of success. And I can't get enough of this guy. His voice just blows me away. Its so powerfull and controlled. And I saw him sing At the fountain on Rosie. Has anyone seen him live? Can he act as well as he sounds? And Last, anything new for him?

Brian is terrific, and I got to see him live in the three shows you mentioned, plus a performance of The Broadway Tenors with Hugh Panaro and Stephen Bogardus.
I'd recommend the new studio cast recording of Brownstone to hear more of him. Has anyone heard this recording? One thing that bothers me about it is they have another guy on it that sounds just like Brian, so I can't easily tell them apart.

Posted: 8/6/03 at 8:26amBrian D'Arcy James is a very talented performer. However, he has the Peter Gallagher Disease: one eyebrow that is long enough for both eyes. Yick!

Yes, Stevos, Brian can act as well as he sings. His Barrett in Titanic was heartbreaking and hilarious, his Burrs in The Wild Party was scary and violent, and his Sidney Falco in Sweet Smell was alarmingly driven. Not to mention that he is such a sweet individual. *sigh* I love him.
He also sings Unusual Way on the Maury Yeston Songbook, which you can get off of PS Classics (https://www.psclassics.com). He gives such a pure rendition of the song, and it's such an interesting twist, because it's usually sung by a woman.
There is a fabulous website all about Brian. Link below ![]()
