Bright Lights Big City opening tomorrow night!

Any of you in Philadelphia, do not miss this show! It's a limited run with a fantastic cast.

Orfeh, Andy Karl and Jeremy Kushnier are set to headline Prince Music Theatre's production of Paul Scott Goodman's pop musical Bright Lights, Big City from June 14th through June 25th The show will open on June 17th.

The Philadelphia staging of the rock musical will be directed by Stafford Arima (Altar Boyz) with choreography by Andrew Palermo. Orfeh (The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Footloose, Saturday Night Fever) will play Clara, Karl (Altar Boyz, Slut, Saturday Night Fever), who is married to Orfeh, will play Tad and Kushnier will take on the lead role of Jamie (Footloose, Rent, Aida tour). They will be joined by Kelli Barrett as Amanda, Marian Murphy as Mom, Jonathan Shade as Michael, Julie Toliver as Vicky, as well as Don Daniels, Alex Keiper, Christopher de Prophetis and Alyse Wojciechowski.

i saw the show last night and loved loved loved the cast. the casting was perfection. jamie kusnier and andy karl were great and marian murphy as the mother was really moving. director and casting directors did an amzing job with that. the show was confusing to me and my friends. we have problems hearing the words and it moved so fast that it was hard to catch up, but maybe thats being workd on it previews lets hope so. the liting was too dark at times but really enjoyed the singing. i heard from some cast members that the theatre posted a closing notice and the show is closing early cuz the tickets arent selling. thats sad cause if u can make it to philly get tehr and see an amazing cast of actors.

Well I just noticed in snowie's post she says that the show is from now until June 25. It was supposed to play until July 2.

That sucks. Hopefully if it get a good review more people will go to see it.

Right now, it's posted as the 25th. But if we sell more tickets. it might extend.

I hope they extend...I love the BLBC recording but have never gotten to see it live. I'd love to try to get into Philly to see this!
