Is it the same as the cast that performed it off-Broadway? I know I've stumbled across the cast list.

You may be right. I just read something on Broadway.com that lists somebody else as Jaime. But that confuses me, because I know Patrick was in it off-Broadway. Then again, the article may have been about a second concert staging of it; did something like that happen? It was confusing wording, but the date for the article was around the time of the Chess concert, because that was in there, too.

I think I read they've got as many of the people who were in it off-Broadway back for the recording, but so far I'm coming up empty in looking for that cast list;

I think there was, semi-recently. I can't remember if Patrick and Jesse were in it, though. Maybe they're mixing the casts?

Bright Lights was a musical that was on at the NYTW back in 1999 featuring a never seen before Patrick Wilson. Although the show gained a big following which including lots of return bookings and unofficial websites the critics panned it. Many people say they wanted to hate the show before they even walked in the door. The show has finally been recorded for a CD with an all star cast. The CD is very differnt to the show that was on in 1999. Characters and songs have been cut to make the show tighter.
