Broadhurst/Les Miz Box Question#1
Posted: 1/12/07 at 10:23pmI just purchased a ticket for Les Mis on the 24th. I'm sitting in Box A. Isn't this the box, as I recall, that a few actors climb up on, and how is the view as well?
re: Broadhurst/Les Miz Box Question#2
Posted: 1/12/07 at 11:03pmIf it is i dont think youll have too much of a problem. I dont know the assignments of the box no.'s, however i did see the show just yesterday, and if they are the box seats you speak of the actors do come out of them and climb up and down. The extent of your difficulty seeing will be the opposite side of the stage. That you may find difficult. But i assure you, most of the action will take place near the center. Very little will happen that you cant see or is crucial enough to the show where it will matter.

Posted: 1/12/07 at 11:15pmif it's the stage left box, i'm pretty sure that's the one the actor's climb up and down from (yes the one eponine sits in as well). my friend sat there and said the view was good. nothing got in his way that i know of. hope you enjoy the show

Posted: 1/13/07 at 9:19amhorrible seats. you miss 1/2 the show.
re: Broadhurst/Les Miz Box Question#4
Posted: 1/13/07 at 10:55amYes I agree there really bad.You miss 60% of the stage, you miss 40% of the main action, and miss 80% of the ensemble. I found another seat 20 minutes into the show so I'm sure you'll be able to move.

You'll love the show.
As I understand the theater:
Stage Right, A is closest to stage; then B then C.
Stage Left, D is closest, then E and F.
Celia enters from D.
But I think Daphne enters from A as a Street Urchin.
p.s. If I see you on the 24th (evening), I'll wave.

How does one go about buying the box seats? I don't see them listed on telecharge . . . do you have to buy them in person? Can you get them over the phone? Is the view really "that" bad? And (last question!) how expensive are they?
Thanks and sorry for so many ?s!

I once purchased box tickets for the Imperial for Boy from Oz; they had to be purchased at the box office, the price was the same as the seats in the orchestra. The box was on the left as you look at the stage so I missed seeing Hugh sitting at the piano with Isabel Keating in an early scene.
Hope this helps.

Posted: 1/16/07 at 2:27amSorry for my ignorance, but how/why do actors enter from the box seats?

There are two enteries in both boxes. They enter through the boxes by a doorway that is next to where the people sit and there is a laddar that goes down onto the stage
re: Broadhurst/Les Miz Box Question#11
Posted: 1/16/07 at 11:11amWow, really? They were charging the same for box seats as for orchestra seats? I thought I had heard that the box seats were like $65. Wow. I can't imagine paying full price for what everyone describes as partial view seats! Thanks though.
re: Broadhurst/Les Miz Box Question#12
Posted: 1/17/07 at 8:57pmThe box seats are a lot cheaper than orchestra seats. They're $36.
re: Broadhurst/Les Miz Box Question#13
Posted: 1/17/07 at 9:12pmThanks Kate. I kind of thought that they were either $65 or $36. $110 seemed really high for those seats. I wound up giving in and buying seats in the front of the mezz. I'm such a sucker!
