The website says it starts at 3:30 - how does that work with matinees on a Saturday? Do the actors just sort of trickle in as they get done with their shows?

Anybody going? I might go check it out.

The event itself starts at 3:30. You can walk around, see the different shelters' tables, bid on the silent auction.

The auction begins at 5pm, and the celebrity presentation of animals begins shortly after.

I think the celebrity part of the show begins at 5, meaning right after the matinees finish, and lasts about an hour. However, the dogs are displayed from 3:30

I thought I read somewhere the celebs are from 5:30-6:30.

Mabel's right ... here's a direct quote taken from the Broadway Barks site:

"The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from citywide animal shelters will take place between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m."

See: http://www.broadwaybarks.com/barks_2005.htm
Quote is taken from near the end of the first paragraph.

I was surprised Michael Cerveris and his adorable dog Gibson aren't scheduled to appear at the event.

On another note, Marc Kudisch holding a dog...is there anything in this world that's cuter? No, I don't think there is.

The weather's decent, so I think I might go check it out. And maybe they'll add to that list. re: Broadway Barks question
