Broadway Cares item request

Hi all,

Would anyone who's going to see 'Hamilton' this weekend be willing to help me acquire one of their Broadway Cares items? I was interested in the 'Laurens Letter', signed by several members of the cast, that they're currently selling for $100, but I don't live in NYC and my understanding is the Broadway Cares campaign ends after April 24th.

This item isn't being offered on the website or the eBay, so I figure the only way I can get it is if I can coordinate with someone who will happen to be over that way. Please PM me if you're willing, I will of course add a little extra for aggravation! Thank you!

Hi everyone, I am in the exact same position as the poster ..... I would love love love a signed playbill (I think they are currently $200) but unfortunately I do not live on the east coast and I won't be in New York until May.



I had debated starting an identical thread, but I honestly decided not to bother anyone with my personal needs lol. But if someone is willing to go and pick up the letter for the poster and the playbill for me, and we add in some extra money to compensate your time, maybe it would be a great way to make some easy money for someone .... especially if you are already going to see Hamilton and it isn't out of your way because you are already there.



And you don't have to have a ticket to the show to do this ..... Hamilton definitely allows patrons not attending the show to walk in directly after the show and buy something from the Broadway Cares table. I was just in NYC a couple weeks ago and I walked in 3 times during the week I was there but unfortunately they had sold out of playbills the entire week I was there. They apparently have some now though. There are about 10 people there after every show who line up in the lobby as the show is ending and are told by one of the staff members when they are allowed to enter the theatre to buy the Broadway Cares stuff. It is actually fairly organized.



I know that I, and the poster, would both be very grateful if someone is willing to help us out .... and you can make some easy money doing it. If sarah and I pool our donation to you, you would make double the money than if you were only buying something for one of us. Just PM me, thanks

Thanks, Anakela! I actually tried that but because of high demand and also the problem of resellers, you can only buy the non-listed items for Hamilton at the theater. I understand where they're coming from I guess, but it's pretty frustrating for an out-of-towner like me! So it looks like having someone go in and buy it for me is the only option I have."

for special requests, write a quick note to the cast, include a self addressed stamped return envelope, include a donation to Broadway cares for $40-50, send to the theatre. I had my Playbill less than two weeks later.

Send one if you have it, but the one returned to me was not the one I sent. No big deal however.

It's 11 pm Friday April 22. I was just at the theatre. There are only $300 window cards left. No Playbills or letters

Thank you, I appreciate you looking! For $100 I'm sure those letters got snapped right up. I wonder if I could request a copy of the letter if I sent in a donation? Or do they just do the playbills?
