Broadway Flea Market

My daughter has really got into the theater over the last 2 years. She collects playbills, has seen a decent amount of shows and does the stage door for every show she goes to.

She heard about the Broadway Flea Market and asked me to take her. I know it's for charity but what goes on there. Can you meet the actors and actresses and get photos and signatures?

They have a meet and greet period different times of the day that you pay for. At that time she can get signatures and photos. Closer to the date of the event, they will post who is participating and at what time. How old is your daughter? If you enjoy Black Friday events, the flea market is similar. (not the meet and greet). It is very crowded with people who have no problem getting in your space and shoving you for something they are interested in. I am a 6'3 muscular man who has no problem shoving someone if they shove me first, and even for me, once is enough.

Broadway Flea Market

The Broadway flea market is held in and around Shubert Alley and will take place September 23.

The day-long event allows fans to purchase theatrical memorabilia and bid on one-of-a-kind show props, tickets to opening-night performances, autographed musical phrases, and more. Shows participating in the Flea Market, items to be offered in the Grand Auction, and stars set to appear at the autograph table and photo booth will be announced at a later date.

I go very year. It does get very crowded, but I like it. As the day progressea the prices drop alot as they don't want to pack it all up again. If you really want something though don't wait as someone else might buy it.

Thanks, she is 17 and tiny and she loves flea markets but she can handle herself in those situations. She doesn't take any crap. As I said she has done many stage doors and a couple meet and greets so she knows how it can get. Knowing they sell meet and greets for charity is kind of good because if there is someone she really wants to see at least it will be guaranteed.

Get there early for the time slot you want, because they also get crowded. But it is an orderly crowd, waiting their turn.
