I guess those pitiful DEUCE numbers truly do prove that you cannot hire stars to read the phonebook.

If they were reading the phone book, people would be seeing the show.

When does Deuce close? And second, next week Grease will be on the boards, right?

Looks like Legally Blonde is hovering, which isn't bad.

Good week for Grey Gardens!

Shame they couldn't have those numbers every week...

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I saw DEUCE, I wished I had stayed home read the phonebook.

Woohooo Curtains! Steady like a rock. re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 7/22/2007 I'm glad for GG, but the show shouldn't have had to announce its closing to draw those numbers. Poor Drowsy, up but not enough. re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 7/22/2007

I think BB & GG are doing so well because people want to see them "one last time" -- especially with B&B as so many families from near and far have loved the show over the years.

The grosses for BaTB before the closing was announced were pretty bad. They're only this high because it's closing.

The grosses before the announcement were not bad at all,
they were way above the nut and for six months they have made tons of Money.
Go do the research, no show has made money like this and closed.

Well they must be closing for a reason. And it's too late anyway, as MERMAID is booked into the Lunt already.

It would be interesting to see the Grey Gardens percentage if they based it on the seven shows that the leading ladies were in. I bet that would be close to 100%
