Posted: 1/25/06 at 2:26pmSO I was watching SVU and Detective Benson stays after work too solve a case and her partner says "I heard you had theatre tickets, What show" to which she responds "Spamalot" and he says "I hear its funny" quick throwaway scene I know, BUT i think its great that a real mainstream show like L&O is doing a shoutout to Broadway especially with a newer show not something that everyone has heard of such as "phantom.." Just thought I'd share that

L&O is doing a shoutout to Broadway especially with a newer show not something that everyone has heard of such as "phantom.."
I think its the total opposite of what you're saying. EVERYONE'S heard of Spamalot. Right now that and Phantom are the stock Broadway responses.
O/T: Even though it was a re-run and I knew everything that was going to happen having seen it three times (between NBC and USA) I cry like a baby throughout the whole thing. Mariska Hargitay deserves an Emmy! It'll be hard to watch SVU without her come March.
In a recent interview she said she was in The Exonerated and would love to come back to the stage. Did anyone see her? What are some roles you could see her in?

Nope she's not leaving...she's taking maternity leave! Notice how they're starting to cover her up with big folders! LOL!
Also the convo in the ep wasn't her partner. They were just going thru the photos together! The ep is amazing! My favorite scene is where she elbows the guy right in the nose...every time I see it, I go "OUCH!!!!" LOL!

While Munch isn't exactly her partner (Stabler is) I would say they were a team, as oppose to some random guy.

Last night's episode was the one she submitted for the Emmy voters. In my personal opinion, she deserved it for that one episode more than Patricia Arquette in any given episode of Medium.

Even though last night's episode was a repeat it still choked me up as if I were watching it for the first time. Mariska was truly amazing in it.
And I believe the special guest star to replace Mariska is going to be Marcia Gay Harden, which is FANTASTIC news to me. I absolutely loved the episode she was in and I just love her in general. So while it will be upsetting to have Mariska leave, at least we will have a fabulous replacement for the time being.
