I usually buy a t shirt, hat, occasionally a sweater from shows. But will signed posters, magnets, jewelry, and other items that are over priced be valued more long after a show closes?

What shows had sweaters?!

There is no predicting what will be a hot resale item years from now. Best to just buy what you want personally and then just sell it when you fall out of love than to hoard something for years just to hopefully turn a profit.

I have a sweater from Promises, Promises and Ragtime.  The items will be more valuable based on the shows popularity or the success of the actors in the show.

Playbill has a clearance section for magnets etc. The other stuff you mention is a question mark.It all depends on the show, what it is and how much people are desperate enough to pay for something. I never really got into it . The board regularly has posts from people trying to sell stuff. You get it , keep it and than eventually have to dispose of it. As the saying goes " you can't take it with you".

I intend willing most if not all of my stuff to 2 places I have in mind.I have old playbills and other memorabilia. I have very few things signed. Most of what I have I paid nothing for.We no longer buy t shirts, souvenir books etc. We generally get a magnet and that is it. Running out of room on the fridge, however.

Mr Roxy said: "Playbill has a clearance section for magnets etc."

That said, I used to collect magnets and when I offloaded them on eBay a year or so ago, many went for $30+. Some were for $50+...
