Kudos to all who are helping out in any way they can re: this disaster!!!
If Katrina--as well as her sidekick, Rita--has anything good about her, it would be how she exposed the side of The Big Easy that doesn't appear in the tourist information, because it just wasn't "easy" enough to qualify.
I'm sharing a link that will take you to some wonderful writings done by fellow Epinionators.
If you're in the mood to read a lot, check all of the stories out--but, in any case, be sure to read the two-parter by Virginia Kiraly (lovingly known as Granniemose) called A Little Boy Lost.
This is fiction, but it's very realistic--and written so that it can be about any family who was involved in this disaster. You'll see what I mean by that when I read it.
Don't worry! The link won't bite you--or rope you into buying something you don't want or subscribing to something you don't want to be subscribed to. It's just a page out of one of my blogs.
Let me know what you think.
One more thing...I'm new here, so I hope it won't be considered SPAM for me to plug a play of a very dear friend in this response.
Have you seen "In The Air" by Paul Enger? Or are you planning to? Or do you know anyone who has?
I would love to hear from people who have seen it!
I notice that your subject title had the word, Piazza, in it. Have you seen the play version of this book/movie?
I haven't. However, I've seen it as a movie countless times and had the chance to scan through the book by Elizabeth Spencer on which it was based.
It's a beautiful story that gives me goosebumps just thinking about it!
