This should be Puzzler #26!
These two innovative Broadway choreographers/directors danced together.
Who are they? And, who led?

OK all you usual suspects...
This was a bit of trick question, but not at all if one read the more recent Puzzler. ChrisLovesShows, got half of it right, and both Sueleen and Magruder got the other half right. But no one put them together.
Gower Champion and Bob Fosse danced together in the 1953 MGM musical GIVE A GIRL A BREAK. Gower and Stanley Donen did the choregraphy; Donen directed; words and music by Ira Gershwin and Burton Lane (their only collaboration). Along with Gower and Bob were Debbie Reynolds, Marge Champion, Helen Wood, and Kurt Kaszner. Plot? Broadway star walks out, the director decides to follow the show's title and "give a girl a break" so he holds auditions for an unknown to replace her.
Ah, the movies. LOL

It's a toss up. Until I re-screen the film.
(Unless someone knows the real answer.)
