Time for Six Degrees again....

Connect Ethel Merman and Julie Andrews, in 3 degrees or less.

Yours for a better Broadway!

Do you mean on stage, or between the sheets?

PEACE.

Sueleen, uncalled for....I'm surprised...seems that you're letting the worst elements of this message board influence you.

Sorry, Bulldog. I couldn't help myself.

Okay, seriously, both slept with Mary Martin....

(Never mind)

PEACE.

The answer is Rodgers and Hammerstein!!

Merman appeared in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, produced by R&H in 1946, and Andrews appeared in the television version of CINDERELLA, the movie of SOUND OF MUSIC, and a recording of KING AND I! That makes me a third party since I danced in 7 Richard Rodgers musicals!

Also, Merman was famous for singing Cole Porter. In the movie based on Gertie Lawrence, Andrews played Lawrence. Lawrence appeared in a British Cole Porter musical!

Do I win a prize?

Great job, Miriam. That was so obvious it didn't hit me, and even even shorter than I had in mind. That's what's fun about the separation game...there are a number of connections which come to light.

I was thinking...
Merman and Ginger Rogers in GIRL CRAZY
Rogers and Carol Channing in FIRST TRAVELING SALESLADY (the film)
Channing and Andrews in (dare I type it?) THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, the Film.
