Well Billy, you've nearly got it right--time ties them togther.
Each of these musicals were the first musicals to consecutively open the new calendar year on Broadway:
1. A Family Affair opened on 1/27/1962
2. Oliver opened on 1/6/1963
3. Hello Dolly opened on 1/16/1964
4. Kelly opened on 2/6/1965
Now isn't a bit more "Broadway" than that other Puzzler #6? LOL
