Would love to hear the scores from those shows that fell by the wayside on the way to Broadway
Some I would like to hear are
1.Annie 2
2.A Mothers Kisses
3.The Visit
4.Over & Over
5.1491

Wasn't it 1491? (1492 was the sequel.)
Anyway, apparently there have been three separate bootlegs available of the Meredith Wilson show since 1969.

Annie 2 eventually became "Annie Warbucks," right? It was released on CD, but is now OOP. I am so glad I have a copy, because it is very hard to find now. Right now there is one used copy on Amazon for $90.00!!

Annie clarification
Annie's sequel began life as
Annie 2: Miss Hannigan's Revenge.
Martin Charnin said just minutes after the curtian went up on opening night in D.C. he knew he'd "written the wrong show".
I have a sound board boot of the show and some of the songs are pretty good.
After MHR closed in D.C. It was supposed to be overhauled into a Broadway Revival using most of the sets and some new costumes. That never happened.
The show moved next to Goodspeeds Norma Terrace Theatre for a bare-bones production as Annie 2
Most of the songs were still intact from MHR but eventually Hannigan was written out. The show did well there, growth wise.
The show then closed and revised once again into Annie Warbucks that began out on tour and came into NYC for a healty offbway run.
Little Lauren Gaffney worked her but off during the entire rewrite period only to out grow the role and be replaced shortly before new york by redheaded Kathryn Zaremba.
The AW cd is pretty good. Except that Martin barks for Sandy because the producers didn't want to pay Cindy Lou and Bill for the recording. It is quickly becomming a high priced item on ebay
