Posted: 7/11/04 at 9:50pmLet me tell you, there are about 100 people in Toledo, Ohio that deserve an award right now! Terrential rain, and we stayed outside to hear the concert band of the city play Broadway hits... Anywho... a couple of comments. We got to Marc Shaiman's wonderful Hairspray which was the highlight of the night. They planned on not playing it because of the rain, but because they got enough boos to that, they played it anyway! And also, Assassins won the Tony for best revival of a musical correct? Because I thought for a moment I was incorrect... in the program it had Fiddler on the Roof as the winner, and the MC, a personal friend of the family, said that was the case as well. Later I went up to him and asked him if he watched the Tonys... and I told him I would send him the tape. But, I do want to make sure I'm right... Assassins won, right? Or am I just making a fool of myself?
