What a generous review he wrote in todays VARIETY. I was so thrilled to read his review of the entire show. I positively "shimmered" when I read what he wrote about me.
"From 1932 revue THE BANDWAGON, which featured Fred Astaire and his sister Adele - though he didn't originally sing it - was 'Dancing in the Dark,' framed in a sublimely shimmering reading by Ludmilla Ilieva." Robert L. Daniels, VARIETY
Boundless thanks to Scott Siegel for casting me in his Broadway Unplugged which bowed last Monday Night at Town Hall to a sold out house. This was a magnificent opportunity for me and it seems to me that the Siegels are always on the lookout to give cabaret performers a deserved break.
The whole cast was warm & accepting of me. I felt George Dvorsky, Euan Morton, Norm Lewis, Cady Huffman, Barbara Walsh, Nancy Anderson, Alice Ripley, Darius de Haas, Chuck Cooper and Ann Harada were especially kind to me, making me feel like 1 of the gang. Overall, I remember the atmosphere at rehearsals & backstage being like that of old home week & everyone supporting their fellow colleagues. Ross Patterson & the musicians were a dream to work with. Jack Cummings III did a bangup job staging. I have to tell you that all of us singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" will be 1 of the all time great feelings for me. The musicality and harmony was instinctive and electricity flowed in a straight line thru all of us.
Thank you's to all who posted about me, and about Broadway Unplugged. It truly was a magical experience for me.

Does anybody know what else the Variety critic said about the Unplugged show? I thought it was dynamite. Yes, that last song when everybody was singing was just about the most beautiful thing I've ever heard in a theater or a church. Hope Siegel puts on more of these Unplugged shows.
