A few questions from a newbie.
I am planning on seeing Young Frankenstein this fall. I've read some posts on stagedooring etiquette and I would love a signed playbill - where's the stage door at the Hilton? We are traveling in from the Midwest to see one specific person in the play - how often does an understudy step in? How will we know if that person (Megan Mullally) isn't going to be in it that day? Should we try and get tickets on the day of sale (15th) for November/December or can we wait a couple weeks?
Thanks in advance!

An understudy only steps in when an actor is out sick or on vaction, so that depends on each actor.
Pretty much the only way you will know if Megan isn't in the day you see the show is if there is an announced vacation she is taking.
Get tickets now because they will be sold out your day...or atleast you should assume that and not take a chance. Just trust that Megan Mualley will be in that day and if she is not maybe find out if she will be in the next day and try to trade tickets or just go to the stagedoor the next day.
