Is it allowed?
From Playbill.com:
"Auditions for the choice role of Evita herself have been ongoing, with Broadway stars and lesser-known actresses vying for the part."
I believe Evita will be non-Equity, but Broadway stars are vying for the part. How is that possible?

Posted: 7/21/04 at 12:39amThe tour will be equity, although Troika is not a member of the League of Producers and often presents (great) non-eq tours. This was one of the points of contention btw. the League and Eq during all the recent contract talks.
