I've been lurking here for a while but decided to make my first official post about Lebron James.
Earlier yesterday I saw a video of the Chicago Shrek talking about how he wanted Lebron to sign with the Bulls.
I went to Tenor last night (incredible by the way) and Lebron came up again. We had no idea where Lebron James ended up--perhaps the most important decision of our lifetime--because it all happened during act 2. So, at the end of the curtain call, a basketball rolled out onstage with a note attached, and Jay Klaitz made the announcement. The cast signed the basketball and threw it out to a little kid in the front row. Broadway is cool.
Anyone else see it??

I was there last night too, with a couple friends. The show was indeed fantastic, and seeing it last night was one of the best spontaneous decisions I've made in quite some time :)
I swear, when the basketball rolled on stage, my friends & I thought at first that it was just the cast being weird and quirky and using it as a BCEFA collection bucket. I know it isn't even the time of year that they collect, but that's the only situation I've encountered where the cast stops and makes a speech at the end of curtain call (barring closing nights, of course), so that was our first assumption! Shows how clueless we are. But it was fun nonetheless.
