Broadway.com New Years Resolutions!!!D

Did anyone not see the New Years Resolutions on Broadway.com that seem to be all about not reading message boards anymore?!?!


ROBERT LOPEZ AND JEFF MARX
In 2003: Became musical theater's hottest new composers with Avenue Q, which won off-Broadway's Lortel Award for Best Musical and rave reviews upon transferring to Broadway's Golden Theatre.
Resolution for 2004: "To stop reading All That Chat."

MARC SHAIMAN
In 2003: Kissed partner in work and life Scott Wittman on national TV upon winning a Tony for their Hairspray score and started work on a musical version of Catch Me If You Can.
Resolution for 2004: "My New Year's resolution is to stop reading theater chat boards...hang on, just a sec...look at what BroadwayGuy2 said to Phantom 2!...oh, where was I...oh yes, no more message boards...gee, that Broadway Bulldog and BestOfBroadway sure seem...whoops, sorry, I was saying...MammaMiaSammy, Amneris, I can't keep 'em all straight...THAT'S IT, NO MORE...FindingNamo, save me!!!!!!"

Thanks for pointing that out. I do forget to check Broadway.com sometimes. I guess there's really no need for me to rub it in that he's asking ME to save him from the madness. Mama always said I was special. Well, the lady on The Electric Company always said I was special while Mama was passed out in the easy chair, but still.

Look, I'm SORRY you didn't get mentioned. At all. I know you pulled yourself out of the threads for the most part to work on your little column. And it turns out it was the hoi polloi that Marc Shaiman can't stop himself from reading, no matter how hard he tries. It must be very disappointing for you, Anth.

Still, from what I gather, the people who read your column seem to enjoy it.

Honey. This year you should try to get over your self loathing. Why on earth would reading all of the awesome and amazing posts around here be pathetic and not awesome or amazing? Resolve it, Amneris. RESOLVE IT! Fact is, it took many of us months to figure out the difference between you and MMS.

It's nice to know that he patronizes this board.
