Did anyone not see the New Years Resolutions on Broadway.com that seem to be all about not reading message boards anymore?!?!
ROBERT LOPEZ AND JEFF MARX
In 2003: Became musical theater's hottest new composers with Avenue Q, which won off-Broadway's Lortel Award for Best Musical and rave reviews upon transferring to Broadway's Golden Theatre.
Resolution for 2004: "To stop reading All That Chat."
MARC SHAIMAN
In 2003: Kissed partner in work and life Scott Wittman on national TV upon winning a Tony for their Hairspray score and started work on a musical version of Catch Me If You Can.
Resolution for 2004: "My New Year's resolution is to stop reading theater chat boards...hang on, just a sec...look at what BroadwayGuy2 said to Phantom 2!...oh, where was I...oh yes, no more message boards...gee, that Broadway Bulldog and BestOfBroadway sure seem...whoops, sorry, I was saying...MammaMiaSammy, Amneris, I can't keep 'em all straight...THAT'S IT, NO MORE...FindingNamo, save me!!!!!!"
This is hilarious! hahahhahahahha
Yea! This board is becoming famous!
lmao..marc shaiman made us have our debuts in the new year. Thank You Marc and happy new year to you and scott.
nm he's seen it hahah i love leaving people clueless about what I said
Darn, I wasn't mentioned. My minute of fame is lost. Hehehe- that's funny. I wonder what other Broadway celebrities read and/or participate in the board.
That's becoming "famous" to you? Don't you realize they're making fun of you/us?

Thanks for pointing that out. I do forget to check Broadway.com sometimes. I guess there's really no need for me to rub it in that he's asking ME to save him from the madness. Mama always said I was special. Well, the lady on The Electric Company always said I was special while Mama was passed out in the easy chair, but still.

I'm sorry, please do not refer to me as Namo any more. Please use my new title, "FindingNamo: Savior of Marc Shaiman." Thank you.

Look, I'm SORRY you didn't get mentioned. At all. I know you pulled yourself out of the threads for the most part to work on your little column. And it turns out it was the hoi polloi that Marc Shaiman can't stop himself from reading, no matter how hard he tries. It must be very disappointing for you, Anth.
Still, from what I gather, the people who read your column seem to enjoy it.

which Implies you DON'T read it.
why do you insist on hurting me....???
..when will you just sweep me off in your jet or flying thing in the background and take me to tahiti to do as you will...
wait...there was more to the electric company than spiderman? christ, more repressed memories to uncover! just when i think i've come clean, they drag me back down...
whether he's making fun or not, i think it's hysterical... funny that we were mentioned and sort of pathetic...but it's all in good humor. Updated On: 12/31/03 at 12:16 PM

Honey. This year you should try to get over your self loathing. Why on earth would reading all of the awesome and amazing posts around here be pathetic and not awesome or amazing? Resolve it, Amneris. RESOLVE IT! Fact is, it took many of us months to figure out the difference between you and MMS.
lol once again I AM NOT MAMMAMIASAMMYYYYYYYYY =D
FINDINGNAMO HELP!!!! i love these awesome and amazing posts..i think im drunk already,

Shaiman isn't poking fun at me.
Hell, he is poking fun at his reading message boards........

He's definitely poking fun at you. And his reading message boards.
Poking isn't nice.
Broadway Legend Joined: 7/22/03
Sure it is. And I say that as somebody who has both poked and been poked.
It's nice to know that he patronizes this board. (Like how I used patronize because the people who think it is making fun of the board can take it in the bad way and the people who think he is just talking about being addicted to the boards can take it as meaning he visits the boards often.)
Heheh I am a master of taking the middle road. Muahahaha! Does that make me evil?
I don't know. I just felt like posting that fist sentence because I thought it was clever.

No, it doesn't make you evil. It makes you typical. It's The Myth of the American Middle.
I want Kerry Butler to patronize me.

Shaiman is joking, yes.. but by no means is he poking fun in a being mean or negative way at all.
