Broadway contestant on American Idol

I remember reading that there was a contestant on American Idol this year that has appeared on Broadway. I had read an article about how they edited her appearance to make her look unprepared. I forgot her name and now cannot locate the article. Does anyone remember her name or know where the article is? Thanks in advance.

I saw her too! She was excellent. Also, Constantine M. from last season's A.I. was in the Rent tour.

lovinlife - I didn't seee her, but if she was excellent why didn't she get passed on? I read the article, but like, what exactly did the judges say.

Aww, loved her in Cabaret. By why on earth she would want to go on American Idol is beyond me.

RentBoy86- I'm not sure. I did not watch A.I. but remember her as being a great understudy for Sally. Maybe she just wasn't what they were looking for. I know from past seasons they have turned down many talented vocalists because they were not pop-like enough, maybe too musical theatre sounding. Dunno!!
