have the park concerts been mostly understudies or the leads? i am specifically curious about this week if the leads in wicked, spelling bee, etc. will be performing or their understudies.
thanks!

when 'NAMES' were still in Wicked, the understudies performed. Last year Derrick and Eden were there. Now that Wicked is all 'BELOW THE TITLE' I'd think that Shoshana and Megan would perform.

It really depends on the show... for RENT stage version the leads were there, and for Sweet Charity everyone but Christina Applegate was there... but POTO I believe it was understudies.

let's just hope the rain stays away long enough
because some of the weather forecasts are predicting
showers on Thursday

Thank Goodness
for great understudies,
like the dreamy Brian O'Brien
but i don't get why the Producers don't encourage the actors playing the roles to do high profile gigs like this?
Isn't it part of their job to promote their shows.
Shame on them, fans come out and sit in the heat to see numbers from their fav shows and then they don't get the actual casts!!!!
just my opinion.

when rent performed it was almost all understudies, although cary shields did come on for seasons of love but didn't sing what you own

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

Its not their job. It would be nice, but who wants to get up at the butt crack of dawn after working until 11 the night before?

Erin's apparently been pretty sick. I hope she's feeling better!
Raúl did it for Tick, Tick...BOOM!, and Taboo never made it that far. Though I think there's a chance he'll show for this one.

And I don't know if that was a serious snippy remark or not, but no. I want to see him sing.

They do everynight at work on the Broadway stage. People should buy tickets to more shows and see them.

If that was directed at me, trust me, I have. More than I "should." And saying that I want to see him sing had nothing to do with not wanting to pay, or being unhappy if he were to skip out of this; it was a response to "cause u wanna see His Ugly chest hair?" Geez. I have to clarify everything. Read.

i love yer loyalty to yer man!
But what is the quote about?
I've seen Raul do many charity and promotional events
and my hat goes off to him,
I just wish more performers were like him.

I think I saw Erin Dilly on her way to the theatre about an hour ago when I went out to get lunch. So, if I wasn't hallucinating on account of the heat, she's better and back in. Hopefully we'll see her tomorrow!
