New York's premiere cabaret room The Metropolitan Room presents Broadway on 22nd Street. This monthly series will feature some of the most talented performers from the Great White Way. The series kicks off with Broadway Veteran Nancy Ticotin,Broadway newcomer Ruben Flores,and Drama Desk Award winner Doreen Montalvo. All three performers were recently seen on Broadway in the TONY award winning musical In The Heights. Each performer will be featured in their own little mini set. Zach Dietz also of In The Heights will musical direct the evening.

Nancy Ticotin’s achievements in the arts include success as an actress, singer and dancer. In motion pictures she was featured in “Jeffrey”, “Hackers”, ”Ransom” (with Mel Gibson), “The Wiz”, “Everyone Says I Love You”, and “The Tavern”. Television audiences are familiar with Ticotin’s recurring appearances on such series as “Law & Order” and “NY Undercover” as well as “Law & Order : SVU”, “Law & Order : CI, “Law & Order: Trial by Jury”, “Third Watch”, “One Life To Live”, “The Guiding Light”, “As The World Turns”, ”All My Children”, “Fringe” “Flight of the Conchords” and “White Collar”. You may have seen her in numerous Television Commercials as well.



Rubén Flores



He made his Broadway debut in October 2009 in the Tony Award Winning Musical In The Heights. He performed the role of Piragua Guy (opposite Corbin Bleu,) and most recently Kevin Rosario (opposite Priscilla Lopez.) He also joined the First National Tour starring Lin-Manuel Miranda for the sold out run in San Juan, Puerto Rico.



After a successful career as a television and stage performer in Mexico City, in 2001 Mr. Flores was granted a scholarship to attend The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. Shortly thereafter, he made his US television debut on the premiere episode of "The Caroline Rhea Show" singing for Paula Abdul.



Doreen is an original company member of the 2007 Tony Award winning best musical “In The Heights”, and can be seen performing nightly at the Richard Rodgers Theatre as the Bolero Singer & in the ensemble, and u/s the roles of Camila, Claudia and Daniela. (2007 Drama Desk Award recipient).

Ms Montalvo is a recording artist and can be heard singing on many jingles, commercials, cd’s and has currently released her solo debut cd, “Volvere” with Meme Solis which was selected for pre-grammy nomination in both Latin and American Grammy Awards 2005..

Her extensive theatre career includes The New York Workshop of “La Carmen” (Carmen), Flora in Magpie (NYMF), The World premiere of Frank Loesser’s “Senor Discretion Himself (Arena Stage ,DC) , Manhattan Theatre Club Workshop of “In The Heights”, starring in the critically acclaimed one-woman musical Havana Under The Sea” Off Broadway at the Intar Theatre ; Where she won the 2003 Hola Award for Best Actress.
