What happened to Broadway on Broadway? I remember going three times. Time Square would shut down to traffic for the only other time besides NYE, almost every musical would preform, and it was a blast. Why did it stop?

The Broadway on Broadway concerts were a lot of fun. After Times Square started construction on the new walkways, etc. there was another Broadway on Broadway concert, but I think I read that with everything completed in Times Square there weren't going to be more Broadway on Broadway concerts.
