Anyone that has gone in the past, at what time do you suggest to get there to get close up?
I've gotten there around 7am and been right up front.

I believe it starts at 11:30 this year.
thanks! the person i was going with said 5am! so i'm glad its not THAT early, though i wouldnt mind. are you allowed to film it?
YES. You are allowed to film it and don't be scared by the others here who are going to tell you it's illegal. You'll see hundreds of cameras and camcorders, so tape all you want!
Last year my friend and I got there at 6:30 AM and had great spots. And yeah, you're allowd to film.
I have a question too
I was hoping to go there as well but because I'm lazy the thought of having to stand up for 6 hours makes me very nervous. So let's just say I'll get there for 7am do people actually sit down on the pavement or will they all stand until the show starts *shiver*?
QM
*remembering why I don't go anymore*
When I went last year people brought blankets and sat until the show started, then they stood.
I believe its being broadcast on Tues, Sept 14th?? (7PM?)
Saw it VERY quickly on TV, so I could have the date and/or time wrong.
Anyone?
yeah thats right, i guess they neeed a full day to butcher it diwn to 44 minutes (in an hour show there are 16 minutes of commercials)
I hate all those commercials!
Last year during 'Forget About the Boy' with Sutton Foster, just as the girls all get up about to start a cool tap dance number, the camera zooms out and they go to commercial with Sutton just starting to tap dance as it fades out. I was so mad!
Im usually a block away but I don't get there until about an hour before it starts.

If you get there at like 7, are you able to leave for a minute to go to the bathroom if you need it?
