Broadway on XM

Does anyone else listen to it? I love it but since there are so many songs out there it is hard to get one that you want or like. The other day they were playing the Sweeney Revival and I was loving every minute of it lol

re: Broadway on XM

It's all about XM 28 on Broadway with Jon Von Soosten. I love it. His interview with Raul Esparza on Downstage center is one of the best interviews i have ever heard.

Best stations: XM 28 on Broadway, and
High Voltage 202 (Opie and Anthony) (O and A Party Rock!)

re: Broadway on XM

I am so guilty of stealing my mom's minivan just to drive around and listen to XM 28 :]

re: Broadway on XM

Wish I had XM... my parents refuse to buy a new car, even though our minivan mobile is a piece of nerdy sh*t.

And then, do you know Monseiur Marius, I believe I was a little in love with you.

I listen to the B'way channel a lot, but my favorites are the 60's and 70's stations. Oooh, and Air America. re: Broadway on XM

re: Broadway on XM

I agree I love the 60's. Sometimes if some good jazz is on I will listen to the 40's.

(XM radio)??? I don't have it if that is what you're talking about... I really like listening to original cast albums. Thats always playing in my car cd player.haha.
Usually it's RENT, Wicked, Chicago, I even have the RENT movie soundtrack with Tracie's amazing voice on it...

re: Broadway on XM

My daughter has XM in her car, but is not a broadway psycho like me. I always ask her to tune into the broadway station and yesterday, when she put it on, I asked her to read the show that was displayed----she said "Maam". I said "That's MAME!!" (and started singing "Mame" to her). Sadly, her love for broadway was not enhanced by my rendition!

re: Broadway on XM

seriously it is like one of the best things on radio.

except I hate when they play something that I've never heard of or really dislike. Then it's like "ok tune to another station" One time they played Phantom (I'm sorry but I really do not like that show)--just an opinion doesn't mean I'm right. And it just kept going and going and....

re: Broadway on XM

I like the Bway channel though I listen to Opie and Anthony more than anything. The Lucy, Fred and Ethel channels are great, too. (Why no Ricky?)

I am with you Feathah. I love 28 but most of the time my radio is on 202.

re: Broadway on XM

I wonder if O&A will talk about The Wedding Singer since their buddy Stephen Lynch is in it.

re: Broadway on XM

I got XM for Christmas, and I'm pretty unimpressed with the mix on the Broadway channel. They just don't have the variety I prefer. I don't think I heard a single off-Broadway show, and they waste a lot of airtime playing mediocre to weak tracks from shows when they could be playing stronger tracks or other shows altogether. The access they have to artists for interviews is great though.

Admittedly, I'm biased since I have 2 internet stations of my own and program them to suit my tastes. XM is great for the car since you don't have any other options there.

re: Broadway on XM

I think they will. Stephen talked about it a little last time he was in studio. And the boys went on a riff about making movies into musicals. Including Jim Norton's lovely rendition of "I pardon you" from the forth coming "Schindler's List: The Musical". They will also be the first to goof on it if it bombs so either way i'm excited.

re: Broadway on XM

I tend to favor SIRIUS radio's broadway channel.

But online AccuRadio is the best there is? Check it out, you won't regret it.
