I was completely obsessed with this show as a child and just got the DVDs...I was watching them and realized that I still know most of them by heart and that A LOT of the jokes went over my head the first time :)
This show showcased a bunch Broadway stars...
Bernadette Peters in Sleeping Beauty (she was so pretty in it! And she sings in it as well)
John Lithgow in Goldilocks
Matthew Broderick in Cinderella
Billy Crystal in The Three Little Pigs
Definitely leaving some out...
This show was just brilliant...so glad they are available now!

re: Broadway performers/Faerie Tale Theatre#4
Posted: 1/5/05 at 3:34pmI only remember Pee Wee Herman being in it, because I knew who he was as a little girl. That's so cool, though! I tried finding episodes available online or something, but I couldn't really find any. Any info on where I could find them? Those things were so great!

Oops, not Martin and Baldwin. Wonder why that popped into my head.
But yes- watched these as a kid. Rumpelstilskin and Hansel & Gretel.

Haha, I was going to correct you on that, but didn't want to sound as crazy as I actually am. Jeff Goldblum was the wolf.
My favorites were Goldilocks, Cinderella, The Snow Queen and The Dancing Princesses.

I got mine from Barnes and Noble...not all of them were in the warehouse, though.

I LOVED these!
You can buy the complete series on DVD from Amazon for $68. They also sell them individually for just $7 each. I may actually get the whole set. So glad for the original post - thanks for bringing nice memories back!
