Wasn't Madeline Kahn's real name Madeline Wolfson?

I think Bradd Wong changed his name to B.D. Wong for his role in M BUTTERFLY so as not to spoil the plot twist. After he won the Tony, I guess there was no turning back

B.D. Wong played a man playing a woman in M Butterfly. But you didn't know that going in unless you knew the play.
That is what you meant, right?
Should women ask men out?
I believe that billing for that character in M BUTTERFLY is/was like the actor playing Mary Sunshine in CHICAGO.
It may have something to do with his being billed as BD...
Not 100% sure, but I wanna say that Michael Arden's name was actually Jerod (sp?) Moore. A friend of mine went to high school with him, and I seem to remember him calling Michael by the name Jerod.
Ruthie/Ruth Valentine would have been a cute stage name.
And perfect for the marquee of a production of Sweet Charity.

I know for a fact that Brian Charles Rooney's real name is Brian Charles Rooney.
Imagine that!

My personal favorite is Dolores Conchita Figueroa del Rivero also known as Chita Rivera. I understand why she would shorten it, although a marquee with that big a name would certainly catch my attention.
Michael Crawford was born Michael Dumble-Smith. Took the name Crawford after seeing it on the side of a delivery truck if I am remembering right. Though I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. LOL!
I don't recall if she's done work on Broadway, though I know she did some traveling productions. Marie Osmond uses her middle name. Her birth name is Olive Marie Osmond, named after her mother.

I think "Crawford" was the name of a market and he saw the "marquee" like thing on the front of the building. I'll have to go find it in the book.
