If you ever saw the TV show "All in the Family" (either new or in reruns), you will remember the opening song, "Those Were the Days." ("Boy, the way Glenmn Miller played/Songs that made the hit parade...")
Did you know that the song was wrtten by Broadway composers? I didn't until I was doing some websearching today. The authors are Lee Adams and Charles Strouse, who (among other things) gave us "Bye Bye, Birdie", "Golden Boy", "Appause", and several other shows (including one that lasted all of one performance, according to IBDB.)
