Can anyone recomend if I should buy the 5 CD set that goes with the DVD.. I recieved the DVD set for Christmas.. I have a radio show at our college station and I thought the cd set would help with that.. Should I buy it? If so.. Where from.. (Amazon, Playbill, etc.)

I've even seen it at Barnes & Noble. You might want to try there.

I'd say it would depend on what kind of a collection you already have. It's a very nice "encyclopedia" of the history of the Broadway Musical, but I'm not much of a fan of listening to random numbers from shows. I'd much rather hear, say, "Gypsy" in it's entirity than just hearing Ethel Merman belt out "Everything's Coming Up Roses".
I was lucky and recieved the set as a gift, and it is a nice set to have (The liner notes are very good) but if I were trying to build a Broadway Library I think I'd take the $50 this set costs and wait for a good sale of Sony Classics and get 6 or 7 classic recordings.....
I second what JoeKv says. For someone just starting a Broadway CD collection, it's probably worth the investment. I decided against buying it myself, even though I got the DVDs, because I already have most of the songs somewhere else in my CD collection.
I bought it before Christmas through the Playbill site and it was 20% off, you might want to see if the special is still on.

If you love Wicked, there a big feature on it in the third disc's special features.
I got it for a gift also, and have pretty much worn it out already. Sondheim's such a genius!
