Broadway’s Omar Edwards ( The Sandman from NBC"s Hit television show, Showtime @ the Apollo) premieres his new show: HARLEM NIGHTS/ The Music, The Song , The Dance at MIST Harlem.
Accompanied band members: Jarred Barnes on keyboard, Wahkiba Julion on drums, and Shaine Wilson on bass, Edwards and company take the audience on a musical journey through a pool of sounds from jazz to reggae and back again.
Edwards’s tap shoes, combined with the seamless instrumentation of band members: Jarred Barnes on keyboards, Wahkiba Julion on Drums, , and Shaine Wilson on Bass provides a unique experience for an audience , in having the cadence and rhythm of Omar’s feet , not voice expertly lead the band.
Special Guests include: Trumpet player Mac Gollehon (Platinum recording Trumpet Powerhouse) and Harlem’s own Songstress, Dancer, Actor C Kelly Wright .
August 16th marks the beginning of a 3rdThursday Residency for Edwards and Company at MIST.
