Brooklyn-Male Leads

I was able to see Brooklyn last night. It was overwhelming. I had reservations after Denver concerning the cast changes in NY. I thought I would miss David Jennings as Streetsinger, and Lee Morgan as Taylor Collins. Yes, those actors were phenominal, but so were Cleavant Derricks and Kevin Anderson. The audience stopped the show 4 times!! Brooklyn is an artistic triumph.

mr tuttles friend doesnt think so.. according to the bitter and degrading tuttle, it's the worst thing to hit the scene since Mary Kay Laterno.

Jane,

You saw the show Friday night?? When did the audience stop the show 4 times? I saw a number of people standing after "Streetsinger", but that was it as far as standing ovations during the show. Everyone stoood afterwards, but then again.... they did the same for "Dracula". (not comparing the two, but rather making a general statement about theater these days)

Just trying to think of another way to "stop the show"? Confusing statement.
