Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone knows how I can get the sheet music to Once Upon A Time from Brooklyn. I don't want to sing it in public, just work on it in voice lessons. If you know where I can get it please respond here or private me.
Thanks for your help.

Maybe if you email or write John, he will give you a copy of the sheet music. I heard that Stephen Schwartz was giving out sheet music for Wicked to many people before the whole book was released. Especially "For Good" for graduations.

Do you know how to contact him? I went to the website and there isnt an email address for him. I guess maybe at The Plymouth Theatre?

I would say the Plymouth Theatre. I looked for an email address online but I can't find one. Sorry. Also, if you are in NY, he is usually outside the theatre a lot so you can ask him there.
let me know you guys if you find out anything about the sheet music, e-mail me, PM me, anything...also you could ask Mark and Barri they may know
Has anyone heard if they will be releasing a song book for Brooklyn? I have been looking for either John or Mark and Barri's email, but mark and barri's web site is no longer up... and john is nowhere to be found.. can someone help me out? If you have either of their emails can you PM me with them? Or if anyone has sheet music to ONCE UPON A TIME? Rob
Does anybody know how high Eden goes in once upon a time, it seems like shes superhuman.
Wow. I suddenly became terrified of the thought of hundreds of young girls trying to sing Brooklyn music, at recitals, at local talent shows...wow.
SCARY.

Pinguin...i was waiting for the BKLYN haters post...ANYWAYS...you might could go up to the theater when the show closes, I bet on the last day all the creators woudl be there, dont ya think?
No offense, but i hate hearing people sing the new broadway songs at chorus concerts. Ive heard too many people completely **** up For Good from wicked and what is this feeling. so help me god is someone tries to sing once upon a time.
It's not even about Brooklyn hating, it's about the fact that only like 3 people on this planet can belt that high, but since it's a musical popular among younger girls, just imagine the screaming that will occur...
Ewwwwwwwwww please dont mention such terrible things, i know people that have tried to belt high in concerts and have screamed, and gone horribly horribly flat, and i seriously (and i know im going to hell) busted out laughing during this chicks redition of a mariah carey song, she just stopped singing and walked off stage. I really should work on my theater ettiquite.
hehehe...sometimes you just can't curb your gut reaction :0)
It will be scary, however, I'm sure there are some unknown singers out there who can sing amazingly well. I was just at an audition for a national tour show, and this girl ahead of me sang the HELL out of her song...and I'm like, "Why are you not famous yet?" So, you never know. In any event, she sings up to an A flat. Hope that helps.

A flat. wow.
i actually thought it was higher.
in case anyone didn't know, i'm pretty sure glinda goes higher than that in wicked. i heard E. clarify if i'm wrong.
All I know is that Eden has an amazing voice. She's amazing live and sounds great on all recordings. I loved her as Elphaba too and feel she is second best to Idina.
Eden is amazing, that all that needs to be said/. I can't wait for the sheet music, because the music is one of the best parts of Brooklyn...so right after the show as I sat in my seat blwon away by how wonderful the show and music was I ran RAN RAN to the cart and bough the soundtrack...but alas no sheet music. Back to my original message...I want it.
darkmist, not trying to be smart-assy but eden BELTS an A and Galinda sings a soprano E, is it really an E? definately not the highest E I presume.
Exactly, "Brooklyn" has to hit that A flat in full voice, as opposed to whatever it is "Glinda" hits in head/soprano voice. Clearly it's higher, but two very different things. It's safe to assume Eden could hit those Glinda notes in soprano. I wonder if she's a colortura?
