Is there a website for this show? Any info on it, as far as whenit will start rehearsals for bway/offbway? I know it already did workshoping and a tryout in Denver, but wanted to know more.

EVERYONE should be looking forward to this show! I wish I could convey in words how great the show is. Y'all know how I've been trying to...

It sounds dated and dreadful.

i saw the producer tryout about a year ago at the signature theater in midtown. the music is very good but the book needed a lot of work. hopefully it'll be fixed by the opening!

the thing i remember the most about the show was the star, Eden Espinoza. She has got the most AMAZING voice. She's currently the understudy for Idina Menzel in Wicked, but as soon as she opens in Brooklyn, she is gonna be a MAJOR star.

I only pray that one day we see the headline, "Little MusicMan, Happy At Last!"

From what I have heard and seen, this could be a sleeper hit of the season. It has a lot of charm and heart. I'm looking forward to seeing how the show comes together.

Really 'Musicman' - get a little pep in your step...in any event, I was also lucky enough to be at the workshop production of "Brooklyn" and it's neither dreadful nor dated. In fact, it seems like the face of the new direction musicals will take in the future. The music is awesome and Eden is beyond the moon in it. Maybe you might want to withhold your bah humbug judgment until you've seen it, instead of what you think it "sounds" like.

Thank you, Ustadance! The show is not dreadful or dated in the least. I encourage anyone who is having reservations about the show to check it out before putting it down. This show is VERY unique. You're watching a musical within a musical and the line between the two starts to blur from time to time throughout the show. Like I've said, "Brooklyn" really drew me in and genuinely touched me.
If you STILL insist on the idea being dreadful or dated after watching it, then you really have to marvel at the performers. I always comment on Eden, but all 5 of them are phenomenal! As I've been typing this, I've been thinking that this show is actually one of the LEAST dated shows I can think of. There are several other current hits on Braodway right now that are much more dated than "Brooklyn" will prove to be. I hope my love for the show is contagious so that many more of you will get "Brooklyn in the blood, a fire in your eyes!"
