Anyone else thing he sounds like Norbert Leo Butz a little bit?
What's he doing now? He's great...
that's so funny - when I first heard Norbert on L5Y, I was like, swearing up and down it was Man II from Songs - they sounded so much alike to me then.
now having heard Norbie (lol) I can distinguish his voice from Brooks' but...yeah, I definitely noticed a resemblance
Isn't he still playing Carmen and covering Leo in THE PRODUCERS on Broadway?
he was prerrt bad as leo in the producers when i saw it again... nice voice but just played it really annoying and all over the place... hunter was better (although im not a big fan of the show either... i really hated it the second time... I wish i didnt go)

I saw him as Carmen Ghia a couple weeks ago, and thought he was absolutely fabulous. Quite hysterical.
hehehe...he obviously is less oriented towards the more pop stuff that Norbie often sings (all the kind of riffs that Norbert can do) so his style is slightly different and yet their voice qualities are oddly similar.
I was his friend for a while and he was hysterical every day.
Never hear from him any more.
He was still in The Producers a month ago --- so I assume he is still doing that.
But Glebby, you are a citizen of the world! Always on the move...

I saw the Producers on May 26th and he was in as Carmen. He was fantastic but Roger is still the best, of course. I liked Roger making fun of Brooks during the show.

he was in songs for a new world!!
ABSOLUTELY. When I first heard Songs for a New World, which was after I heard L5Y, I go, "...wait a sec...is that...? No, it's not, but ALMOST."
I think what complicates it further is that "She Cries" sounds so much like a Jamie-song from L5Y. But I can definitely distinguish between the voices.
I thought Brooks was great as Leo and I personally was dissapointed in Hunter Foster. Out of the four I've seen, Matthew was the best (but of course) but Brooks was definetly #2. Hunter was my least favorite (and I usually like him) and Roger was great but kept taking all the optional low notes...what's that about? Brooks was the only actor other than Matthew to invest in Leo's constant awkwardness and terror, which is of course why the character is so hilarious.
