From Slashfilm:
If you’re looking to make a biopic about Bob Fosse, how do you top his own cinematic autobiography, All That Jazz, structured around the muscular and intense Roy Scheider‘s performance as a lightly fictionalized version of the late choreographer/director?
I honestly don’t know, but it seems as if Bryan Singer is game to try. He’s got Jack the Giant Killer set up, which he’ll make soon, but is also now attached to a film version of the book Bye, Bye Life: The Loves and Deaths of Bob Fossee, which will be produced as a feature for HBO.

interesting love is a great director. I have no idea who should play Fosse but if Kander and Ebb re portrayed in this film I have always wanted Danny Burstein to be Fred ebb cause I just think they look similar although that would be unlikely
If they're going to make a choreographer biopic, I'd rather see Jerome Robbins. He had just as manic a life as Fosse, and he also never made a self-biopic that literally already says everything that could or should be said about his own life.
I agree. I'd like to see a JR special too. I really don't see how you can top ATJ or the Steam Heat special that Ms. Verdon herself narrated.
I think there's more to be said about Jerome Robbins that hasn't been said already.
I've always though Fred Ebb should be played by Richard Kind, esparza, but I can see Danny Burstein in the part too. But who knows if K&E will be characters in the movie? As big as they were in Fosse's career (Cabaret, Liza with a Z, Chicago), they weren't as big in his personal life as someone like Verdon and Reinking.
I for one cannot wait for this. I've often thought Fosse's life could be a fascinating movie-- and yes, I know we have All That Jazz, but something that's more of a biography.

I think Joseph Gordon-Levitt would make a great young Fosse. (It's much easier, of course, to age an actor than de-age him.) He was very effective in his dance number in 500 DAY OF SUMMER and re-enacted Donald O'Connor's iconic "Make 'Em Laugh" number very adroitly on SNL.
I love JGL so much. I think it'd be interesting to see if he could play as hectic a character as Fosse though. He's usually very 'put together' in his roles. Although, without having seen Hesher, it seems he goes quite off the wall in that one. I think he's very talented though, and that'd be an interesting casting choice.

I think JGL would be wonderful. He has an underlying tenseness that fits Fosse like a glove.
